The databases produced by EBSCO Information Services have been made available since 2010 under a national academic license. Embase is a bibliographic-abstract database, indexing more than 5,000 journal titles since 1974, from more than 70 countries (mainly European). The database covers the fields of biomedicine, pharmaceutics, pharmacology, toxicology, pharmacoeconomics, alternative medicine, biotechnology, among others. Embase is indexed according to the Emtree thesaurus, which includes all Mesh thesaurus entries. |

JCR is the most important citation index in the world of science. The index, which is updated annually, is based on an analysis of more than 21,000 journal titles to which a Journal Impact Factor is assigned, which is the most important indicator of a periodical’s scientific value. |

A huge database of English-language scientific educational videos for students and lecturers. Clearly shows educational issues in such sciences as biology, chemistry, physics or statistics. It provides a convenient “know-how” tool, for example, for laboratory classes. Video articles on research methods in such fields as oncology, genetics, biochemistry, neurology, bioengineering and others are posted there. Each publication consists of a text and a video illustrating it. It is also a database of visualizations of experiments performed (JoVE Encyclopedia of Experiments) and a kaleidoscope of methods used (JoVE Lab Manual), making it easier to repeat experiments and present details that can be difficult to convey in text form alone. The site’s interface has a convenient, intuitive search engine and a field breakdown in the “Research” and “Education” columns. |
