Training courses “on request”

Department of  Scientific Information and Promotion of the WMU Library conducts trainingsadapted to the needs of the WMU society.

The topics, range, forms and dates of trainings are each time set individually, in accordance with the needs of interested persons/groups in cooperation with librarians conducting trainings. The trainings are not certified.

Forms of training:

• Online (MS Teams)
• On-site training for groups (max. 20 participants)

Examples of training topics:

• The Library’s website and its functionalities – available resources, tools and services offered
• Efficient search for scientific literature based on the subscribed electronic resources of the WMU Library
• Selecting a journal for scientific publication – bibliometric evaluation criteria and identifying unreliable (predatory) publishers
• Systematic reviews and literature reviews – basics of systematic review methodology, planning the research process, developing a strategy searching, selecting information sources and documenting results in accordance with the guidelines (PRISMA)
• Research data management – ​​basic principles of planning, organizing, storing and sharing research data, creating a Data Management Plan and depositing research data in the institutional WMU Polish Platform of Medical Research repository.
