Repository of Polish Platform of Medical Research allows for long-term archiving of data deposited by employees and PhD students of WMU.
Repository of the Polish Platform of Medical Research – deposition guidelines
Research data files can be deposited in a repository in accordance with the following:
Before the start of the research data deposition process do the following:
- Read the guidelines.
- Check your grant giver’s or publisher’s requirements.
- Prepare a README file.
- Prepare file(s) with research data in accordance with open access guidelines.
REMINDER:
Research data records that haven’t been sent to verification and further processing within 3 months from their creation, will be deleted from the repository.
What is a README file?
It’s a text file that provides documentation that allows for understanding and proper interpretation of research data.
Information that should be presented in README file:

- Other relevant information about the author(s)
- Project description
- Context of the research
- Research goal
- Research methodology
- Time, place and method of data collection
- 5Description of shared research data
- Brief description

- Whether the data was processed in any way
- Ethical matters (if applicable to the shared research data)
- Description of shared research data files
- Research data language
- Files format
- Whether any specific software is required to use the files
- Content of the files
- License information
