The Library boasts a collection of antique books. The collection includes the work of Curtius: “Opis chorób prędkiego ratunku potrzebujących…” dating from 1783. The book is considered to be the first Polish manual of emergency medicine. Readers will also find here German edition of the work: “The Surgical Dentist” written by Pierre Fauchard (1678-1761), the father of European dentistry, and Herbarium (1613) of Syrenius (1540-1611) – a distinguished Polish botanist and physician.
